Overview
This IDC Energy Insights Perspective presents an analysis of publicly announced investments in solar technologies for the period January–May 2010 in the North American market. It focuses exclusively on solar technology and thus excludes investments in solar project developers, installers, and other service providers. Technology types include concentrating photovoltaic (CPV), crystalline silicon PV (C-Si), concentrating solar power (CSP), inverters, and thin film PV. Types of investments included in this analysis are acquisitions, debt, equity, government grants, and government loan guarantees.
