Overview
This IDC Energy Insights Perspective highlights a number of developing technologies and techniques in the smart metering industry. While industry observers tend to address "smart metering" as a homogenous entity, the expansion of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) technology has been accompanied by the development of an increasingly differentiated market.
