Overview
This IDC Energy Insights Perspective analyzes the EMEA clean energy sources sector and outlines major M&A activities, clean energy business unit reorganizations, new construction projects initiated by operators, and contracts signed in 1Q12. A separate section at the end of the Perspective explores recent developments in the nuclear sector.
To provide us with a general economic trend on the clean energy sector, we present two indexes — the NASDAQ Clean Edge Green Energy Total Return Index (CEXX) and Société Générale's European Renewable Energy Total Return Index (ERIX).
