Jessica Goepfert is the director of consulting and custom research for the IDC Insights business units covering Energy, Financial, and Government. She is responsible for working with IT vendors and end-users to provide custom research and consulting services to support a range of business planning needs. Ms. Goepfert brings over ten years of research and consulting experience to IDC Insights, with an extensive background in market opportunity assessment and competitor analysis.

Prior to joining the IDC Insights groups, Ms. Goepfert oversaw IDC's U.S. Vertical Group's cross-industry research and analysis, with a focus on translating industry specific business issues into IT purchasing directions. Her work involved ground-breaking detailed forecasts of IT spending in the manufacturing, retail, healthcare, life science, energy, retail and government sectors. She was also a lead analyst on the U.S. Vertical Group's study of the world's 50 largest IT vendor revenue estimates by vertical industry.



Ms. Goepfert graduated Cum Laude from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Connecticut College in the fields of Psychology and Dance, with a minor in economics, and was nominated into the Phi Beta Kappa society.
