Luiza Semernya is Research Analyst for IDC Energy Insights EMEA.

Since joining in 2010, Ms. Semernya has supported the IDC Energy Insights team by conducting qualitative research for quarterly updates for the utilities and clean energy sectors, covering topics such as smart grids, smart metering, renewable energies, capture carbon and storage, distributed generation and energy efficiency. Ms. Semernya also researches, analyzes, and writes the standardized reports based on the annual surveys on utility and oil and gas endusers regarding their IT budget trends, decision making strategies, and line-of-business and enterprise IT solutions. Ms. Semernya is also involved in IDC Energy Insights' worldwide customs projects, as well as in the preparation of ad hoc presentations.

Ms. Semernya contributes to the IDC Energy Insights blog on the IDC Energy Insights Community (http://idc-insights-community.com/energy) and tweets (@LuizaSemernya).

Ms. Semernya graduated with a master's degree in public management from SDA Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) in February 2010. While in 2007, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in economics/management from the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia). Ms. Semernya is a Russian native speaker, and is also fluent in English and Italian.
